    More Animal Sadness

Saturday, December 15, 2007, 09:31 PM PST [Personal]

My guinea pig cream has been diagnosed with leukemia. This makes me very sad because she and her sister Sugar are quite possibly my familiars, just like I felt about my guinea pig Miss Piggy before them.
Miss Piggy left the mortal realm in 2002 after having to be put down after coming down with pneumonia and her lung collapsing. I still have the sweater I was wearing when I held her for the last time before I watched as the vet euthanized my best friend. She was so beautiful and even though it's been five years, I still get choked up every time I mention her (whether or not I'm speaking or writing about her doesn't matter). I don't think I'll ever see such a beautiful shade of auburn ever again. And now I may have to deal with another loss in the very near future. Sugar will probably pass soon after Cream, too. And then I'll have no small animal to hold and have around the house.

    Please Send Positive Energies!

Saturday, December 8, 2007, 04:18 PM PST [Personal]

My sister just got a call from her friend saying that the cat my sister was supposed to adopt from her just passed away this morning. Apparently the cat knew it was going to die and crawled under the television to be secluded from the rest of the people at my sister's friend's house. They found him this morning and ever since my sister got the call from her friend she's been in hysterical tears.

If you could send some positive energy to my sister that won't interrupt the grieving process, I'd be most appreciative.

    Today is World AIDS Day

Saturday, December 1, 2007, 11:07 AM PST [Holidays]

Today is World AIDS Day. A day to reflect on the disease HIV/AIDS and have a moment of silence (or more) for those who have passed and those who are still living with disease.

Please remember that HIV does not discriminate. It's an everybody thing. Get yourself educated (if you are not) and get yourself tested. Educate someone else.

Don't be silent, spread the word.

Successful Opening Night of The Foreigner.

Wednesday, November 14, 2007, 10:20 PM PST [Personal]

The opening night of my school's fall play, The Foreigner by Larry Shue, was AMAZING! We pulled it off better than I thought we would. Everything seriously came together tonight and worked in our favour. I am so excited.

My two major parts went off brilliantly. Everyone loved my wicked witch of the west style melting and I looked totally epic in the clansman outfit. And my monologue where I teach Charlie words in English went off smoothly (even though I forgot somethings or said something wrong).

I'm so excited; I can't wait to see how the rest of the nights go.
